Mr. Bhupen Dalal serves as a Mentor to the company, First Overseas Capital Limited. After his internship with a London Stockbroker M/s Strauss Turnbull & Co., he acted as a stock broker in India from 1962 to 1992. He promoted CIFCO Ltd (Champaklal Investment & Financial Consultancy ltd.) in 1973 which was the pioneer in Merchant Banking in India. Moreover, he was the brainchild behind the NRI Scheme in India. Mr. Dalal was also the first to get approval for setting up a J.V in Financial Services in UK & Sri Lanka. He possesses the special skill of taking over sick companies & turning them around. With an expertise in Mergers and Acquisitions, he was one of the earliest Venture Capitalists in India having invested into several companies like 20th Century Finance, Ashok Leyland Finance & Birla Finance. At the age of 66, he received his law degree and advises on Companies Act & Other legal issues on a pro bono basis.
Mr. Satyen Dalal is the Managing Director of First Overseas Capital Limited Post his education in the United Kingdom he has over 20 years of experience in the area of Investment and Corporate Banking services. With extensive exposure to Capital Markets, including Fundraising and Mergers & Acquisition. His main forte has been Mergers and Acquisition with a focus on Cross border deals. He has vast knowledge in all fields related to Equities, Commodities and Currency trading. His main areas of expertise are in the area of Pharma, Hospitality and Real Estate.
Mr. Asim Dalal is part of the First Overseas Capital Limited team. In the last 32 years he has gained experience in International Banking, Project finance, Stockbroking, Printing, Retail and eCommerce. Until 2015, Asim was the Managing Director of Bombay Swadeshi Stores Limited (The Bombay Store). His earlier assignments include a noteworthy stint with Hill Samuel Bank Limited in London in their International Banking Division, followed by a stint in the Equity & Euro-products division of Société Générale Strauss Turnbull Securities Limited in London. Until recently he was the CEO and JV partner of Indo Count Retail Ventures Pvt. Ltd to lead the foray into the domestic market in India for home textiles.
